ROOTS OF REGGAE

Reggae music originated from the heart of Jamaica in the late 1960s. Its source lie deeply in the beats from traditional Jamaican genres including ska and rocksteady. This earlier forms gave reggae its infectious groove, while incorporating elements of American blues and Mento. Reggae became more than just a musical form; it became a powerful voic
